As a city dweller, I am not really used to seeing many birds. Sure, there are pigeons and sparrows in Toronto, and I sometimes see birds of prey circling high above the city, but that’s usually it.
Yesterday was a beautiful day in Toronto, with temperatures of up to 9.6C. An ideal day for the yearly unofficial start of spring, with the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade. All things green were “in” yesterday, and something not-so-green as well.
The past few days have seen their fair share of gun violence in Toronto. As a result, some politicians, such as Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and Toronto Mayor David Miller, are demanding a ban on handguns.
