beschuit

Dutch culinary specialty: a type of bread that is baked twice. It is first baked as a cylindrical flat bread after which it is cut and then baked once again. The result is a very crispy, dry and light circular slice of bread. It should not be confused with the better-known Italian biscotto.

Translations:
Dutch: beschuit
English: Dutch rusk
